What We Do
Making a Difference for Wells County Animals
At Wells County Friends of the Shelter, we bridge the gap between basic animal control and the high-quality care every pet deserves. We provide the essential resources—from emergency medical funding and spay/neuter assistance to pet food for families in need—that ensure our local animals are healthy, happy, and ready for their forever homes.
Shelter Support Services
Through these focused initiatives, we work hand-in-hand with the community to provide the essential funding and resources that ensure every animal in Wells County has a chance at a healthy, well-supported future.
Supplemental Care Supplies
We provide the shelter with essential items like interactive toys, flea treatments, and funding for necessary surgeries.
Spay and Neuter Programs
We sponsor low-cost clinics and financial assistance to help reduce pet overpopulation in the community.
Pet Food Assistance
We coordinate a program to distribute donated pet food to local pet owners facing financial hardship.
Animal Care Funding
Through the Bluffton Animal Clinic, we support owners whose pets require cost-prohibitive medical care.
